Michigan Supreme Court Issues Landmark Ruling

The Michigan Supreme Court has overturned a life-without-parole sentence for Edwin Langston, who was convicted in connection with a 1975 robbery and murder in Van Buren County.

Langston was found guilty of aiding and abetting the robbery in which a co-defendant fatally shot a grocery store owner in South Haven, despite not being inside the store during the killing. The ruling could have implications for other inmates serving similar life sentences.

Report Details Abuse Allegations at Interlochen

An independent investigation into the Interlochen Center for the Arts has uncovered allegations from approximately 70 former students who say they were abused by nearly 50 adults affiliated with the institution over several decades.
